Even though India got freedom a half century ago, some region from the kerala state is still following the Mughal rule yet. Yes, it is in the Thiruvananthapuram district and in the municipal ward of Thiruvananthapuram named Beemapally, as Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath. This place was noted in the country before 25 years ago for its ignorance and negligence on Indian constitution and Shari-ah law framed by the Muslim personal law board. That time Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath was trying to implement an execution of flagellant and to shave the hair from the head of a Muslim woman of Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath, because of a fabricated sex scandal. However, the Indian judiciary had interfered on this barbarian deed, and finally the accused got justice from the Indian Union and the Muslim Jama-ath was received utter criticism not only from the judiciary but also from the public, for taking up law and order, though it has no right to do so. After this incidence, a quarter of a century passed, the same Jama-ath is torturing another family in the name of their beliefs and freedom of thought.
One Mr. Fasaludeen son of Mr. M.Jalaludeen belongs to the Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath was decided to marry with Miss. Shameena on 24th April 2008, in the Bismi auditorium near Ambalathara Bi-pass Road, Thiruvanathapuram at around 1.00 clocks after noon. As usual, the father of bridegroom Mr. M.Jalaludeen approached the Muslim Jama-ath official for conducting this marriage by the Jama-ath based on Islamic norms on 3rd April 2008. However, they rejected the application, because the whole families of Mr. M. Jalaludeen were the members of an Islamic organization named KNM (a local organization for religious affairs). However, the marriage was solemnized in the absence of Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath officials as per Islamic marriage act by the Muslim personal law board, In addition, everything (marriage process) was excellent with the grace of ALLAH the Almighty. The Poonthura Police was also did a very great help for this marriage by giving protection over the threat from the anti-social elements of the Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath authority. Even though the Jama-ath authority was expected that the marriage would not solemnized until unless they co-operate with the same, but it had happened without any hurdle, and thus it became the base cause of self provocation from the Jama-ath officials and ended in the proclamation of social ostracize for Mr. M.Jalaludeen and his family through the Gramophones of different five (5) mosques in that Beemapally region by the power and authority of the Jama-ath, on 28th April 2008 at around 4.15 pm.
This news had been reported by the KeralaKaumudi daily, Rashtradeepika daily, flash daily etc…And the KNM Beemapally unit also protested strongly against this unconstitutional and anti-shari-ah and barbarian proclamation of Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath over mosques by microphones.
After this incident the said family members, are excommunicated from the society. Friends and relatives are not communicating with them, people are isolating their shops, and they are facing a complete isolation from the other Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath members. Now the High Court of Kerala interfered in this matter and issued an order to the city police commissioner of Thiruvananthapuram to give protection over the life and properties of the affected, until the threat of Beemapally Muslim Jama-ath finish over them. Yet the family is planning to file some other petitions for justice and equality and against the defamation etc…
The family members are humbly saying their thanks, for those who are standing against this kind of injustices. In addition, asking the support from the free society, respecting the rights and freedom of others to overcome this melancholic situation ever.
